NUMbrella Lane is a safe, collective space located in central Glasgow that seeks to create opportunities to strengthen mental health, wellbeing and community support for sex workers.  We promote a friendly environment where all sex workers are welcome.

At NUMbrella Lane, you will find free safe sex supplies, a swap meet, food bank and snacks! We host regular drop ins to exchange knowledge and wisdom, alongside activities within and outside of these sessions. More than that, our space is intended to create a unity between sex workers where they interact and support each other.

We are also able to help with referrals to specialist services, as well as support from the NUM Casework Team.

As well as the team’s weekly arts and crafts sessions, members also attend events and outdoor activities. In 2022, we  enjoyed a barbeque on the beach, and a trip to an alpaca farm. Members rounded off the year with a ballet performance and a Christmas lunch! Scroll down to see the experiences we had in 2023.

The ballet was mesmerising, the food was fabulous, and the company divine

For the safety and security of our members, our location is only available for those who are members of NUM. Please contact us for more details, and if you would like to register as a NUM member, please do so here!

For more information, please contact numbrellalane@nationaluglymugs.org.

Please note that unfortunately, children are not able to access the NUMbrella Lane space.

NUMbrella Lane’s work is made possible by the sex work community and supported by a range of funders, including:

the logos of the national lottery community fund, esmee fairbairn foundation, the robertson trust, glasgow community and voluntary services and tudor trust

We would also like to thank Arika for their collaboration on Truth and Lies, a book of sex workers’ art and voices. All proceeds from this also support NUMbrella Lane’s work.
